Contraband International Ltd was set up in September 1997 initially as a manufacturer and importer of Indian fashion accessories.
The company created a `bindi' fashion in the UK and Europe through the supply to Miss Selfridge, Top Shop, Mark One, and New Look in addition to working with the press to maintain the craze's profile. The company was also responsible for the mainstream henna supply through the sale to the above named companies and many of the wholesalers in the UK.
As the crazes died, the company diversified into the art of henna and at present the company exhibits at approximately 30 public shows a year including The Clothes Show, Mind, Body, Spirit, Bristol Balloon Show, Ealing Jazz Festival and the County Shows to name a few.
The company continues to wholesale, to professional train, and is invited to both corporate, private, birthday parties and hen nights. |
