The white dress has been traditional for quite some time
and is believed to signify purity however in Japan white is the sign of mourning,
the bride mourns the leaving her family. Modern day brides look upon the colour white as a
symbol of happiness and joy.The
veil originated some believe from the Middle East, we do know it was used in roman times
as a symbol of purity and virginity. The symbolisation is that by lifting the veil the
husband is the only man to gaze on her, showing that she is still pure.
