| Once the excitement of the engagement subsides you will start thinking
towards the big day and all the arranging and planning, however your first thought
more than likely will be towards that all important Bridal
dress (unless your the groom then it will be the stag party). You may also like
to take into consideration pampering yourself by arranging hairdressers, makeup artist and
maybe a day at a health farm to relax you prior to the big day. Another hard
decision is choosing your bridesmaid and maid of honour, then the fun begins with choosing
the dresses. Some may feel that by having a civil ceremony they do not need or want to have the flowing dresses with all
the trimmings, however a nice smart suit with bridesmaids in matching outfits can add that
something to the event and the photos afterwards.
You will have to sit down with your partner to decide a few
important questions:
Civil or Church.
Style of wedding, traditional or themed.
Style for reception, buffet
or full sit down.
Guest list, numbers.
Photographer.
What type of Music.
Dates (rough idea).
Honeymoon.
Budget.
Remember through all the busy schedule my advice is to relax and enjoy as much as you
can as we all know "the best laid plans of mice and men" do usually
have a few hic-ups along the way so don't worry and let them ruin your day, in the end
it's you and your partner that are important
