CARS

From character vintage cars through to stylish modern Rolls Royces, there are many wedding car services on offer. Go to look at the cars, sit in them and chat to the chauffeurs. You will probably be nervous on the way to the church so you want to make sure you are at ease with the car and the chauffeur. Choose a car which gives you plenty of room and enough height to allow you to maintain your poise when getting in and out with your wedding dress on as people will want to take photographs.

Make sure the car is in very good condition and reliable. Just because it is a Rolls Royce doesn’t mean that it will make a good impression. There are plenty of bodged up tatty old Rolls Royces that end their days as wedding cars because nobody else can justify maintaining them. You are far better off with an immaculately restored mid 1930s M.G. NA four seater drophead on a sunny day than a bodged up nineteen sixties Roller. This is really the groom’s province if he knows about cars.

Bang, Bang , Bang !!!!

Old cars can break down if not regularly cared for and if they are out on hire frequently during the wedding season you could be let down. Ask what backup cars are available and ask to see them as well. Get it in writing from the hirer that if the car is unavailable on the day he will provide an equivalent or better car at the same price. Find out if the car is booked out in the weeks preceding your wedding and get all the assurance you can that it will be there for you on the day.
