I hope your wedding hasn't already passed. I know how hard it can be, but she had her wedding already. This day is about you 2 not her. I would suggest doing something before for the two of you (since it sounds like it is to late to nix the plans as is-invitations went out right?) you had said you wanted a small wedding oversees, why not do it! Elope a few weeks, days whatever before your wedding, just the two of you and have the wedding you want. You don't even have to tell anyone, then go and do the maker her happy wedding.
