I found this on a craft page. You were probably looking for the satin roses, but this is a *very* cute idea.

My friend Robin came up with an adorable way to pass out the rice to be thrown at her wedding. She got a *lot* of long-stem white silk Or plastic roses (and a few other long-stem white flowers) She then cut the stamens out of the centers leaving a decently large "open space" in the center of the flower, then hot-glued net baggies of rice into the middle, tying the baggies with a white ribbon. Before the service everyone commented on the large baskets of white flowers scattered about. After the service everyone was given a flower, and instructed to remove the bow and toss the enclosed rice on bride and groom. They'd gotten enough that there were plenty for many people to have two flowers (often one to toss, one to take home).
