You obviously want to look perfect on your wedding day and your make-up will need to be right, you will not want to look back at your wedding photos and think why did I wear that bright pink blusher all over my face.

We decided to speak to Victoria Edwards a professional make-up artist from Moving Makeup and asked her if she could give us some advise for all our brides to be.

For perfect all-day make-up you need to apply your cosmetics carefully to achieve a flawless, lasting appearance.

Always moisturise your skin first; if you get a shiny forehead or nose, apply and anti-shine gel too.

Use a foundation that matches your neck and blend well under the jaw line, don't forget to do your eyelids too.  Cover any dark circles or blemishes now using a concealer stick.

Apply loose powder using a foam puff in firm 'rolling' movements starting from your eyelids working down the rest of your face.  use a big brush to dust away excess powder.

Next do your eyes, nothing too experimental though, you need to feel comfortable with it.  Maybe go for a natural look i.e. neutral colours of beige and cream with a little brown or black pencil liner.  A couple of coats of waterproof mascara to finish.

Don't forget to pluck your eyebrows; try to enhance them using a fine brush loaded with a light beige eye shadow.

Your lipstick should complement the colours in your boquet, or if you have cream flowers, go for the natural pinkie-brown apply a couple of coats, blotting in-between.  Use a liner over the lipstick to avoid that 'paint by numbers' look later on!  A smack of lip gloss looks great too!   Click for a bigger picture
Lastly, apply blusher or bronzer to complement the rest of your make-up, take the colour down your neck too.  A final dusting of shimmering powder over the shoulders always finishes the look.

Tip:  Carry a lipstick and some 'papier poudre' sheets to blot any shiny areas later.
